Submission in response to the Fisheries 2030 proposed decision criteria. Submission supports the principle of developing a standard set of decision criteria to guide Ministry processes. Support for the proposed principles is conditional on the Ministry providing case studies and a fuller explanation of what the outcomes might be. Submission repeating earlier concerns that the deemed value regime is failing to constrain commercial catch to legal limits set by the Minister in many important fisheries.
