Submission supports the Minister reducing the Total Allowable Catch (TAC) and Total Allowable Commercial Catch (TACC) for Blue cod 5, Southland and Fiordland. The Minister must also remove damaging bottom contact fishing methods such as trawling and dredging from sensitive habitats. The Minister also needs to review the National Blue Cod Strategy placing unwarranted new restrictions on people returning fro fishing outside the 12 nm limit. Submission in response to the review of Total Allowable Catches (TACs) for Snapper 7 and Gurnard 7, around the west coast, Tasman and Marlborough, South Island. The New Zealand Sport Fishing Council support conservative increases to the TACs for SNA 7 & GUR 7. Submission 1 July 2020.

Submission in response to the review of Total Allowable Catches (TACs) for 4 finfish species caught by trawlers off the east coast of the South Island: Blue moki, leather jackets, red gurnard and rig (spotted dogfish). Submission in support of the Minister subdividing the Paua 3 Quota Management Area, as proposed. The New Zealand Sport Fishing Council also recommend the Minister of Fisheries changes the Fisheries Act to ease restrictions on subdividing QMAs, so additional benefits of using smaller management areas can be secured. Ngai Tai ki Tamaki Trust and marine farmer Peter Bull have applied for resource consent from Auckland Council to establish a mussel farm off Ponui Island, Waitemata Harbour.
