Nathan Guy, the Minister for Primary Industries, has decided to increase commercial catch levels in several fish stocks, including Coromandel scallops, CRA3 (Gisborne), CRA4 (Wellington/Hawke Bay), and surf clams off the Manawatu coast. Commercial catch limits will be reduced in CRA7 (Otago), and remain as is in CRA8 (Southland).
This decision was received on 21 March and will apply from 1 April. The NZSFC will be responding in due course.
