Tony has been involved with the Whangaroa Sports Fishing Club all his life, from being a youngster watching all the game boats coming in with their fish to be weighed, through to his commercial fishing days as well as working in different companies around the harbour such as the King Fish Lodge. More recently (in the last 10 – 15 years), he has been active in his fishing from the Whangaroa Club. 

Now he is a Whangaroa Sports Fishing Club Delegate, he is on the Weigh Master Judiciary Committee and is a member of the Whangaroa Sports Fishing Club Committee where Tony helps with the day to day running of the club and fishing competitions run out of Whangaroa, among other things. 

This is his first year as a Zone 1 Board Member.  And while he juggles his time with his fishing club and NZSFC commitments, he still has time to run his business and try his hardest to sneak out when able for a quick spot of fishing.
